A few questions and answers about the etiquette of invitations:
Q: Is it appropriate to use nicknames when addressing my wedding invitations?
A: When addressing your wedding invitations, always use each guest’s full name and formal titles. Only abbreviate Mr., Mrs., Ms., & Jr.
Q. Would it be in good taste to hang my wedding invitation on the bulletin board at work?
A: It would be impossible to arrive at an accurate head count because you would not know if your co-worker was bringing his or her spouse, guest or children.
Q: How old should a child be before you send an invitation addressed to them?
A: Children older than 18 years of age should receive their own invitations even when they still live in their parents’ homes.
